Semolina pancakes

Hey, today I will share a recipe of ‘harcha‘. That’s a bread-like cookie that you can eat for breakfast or for dessert. I kind of came up with the name semolina pancakes because it looks like those american pancakes, but it’s made with semolina. It’s a savory treat.

What you will need:

  • 350 gr semolina
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 50 ml sunflower oil
  • 180 ml lukewarm water

How you make it:

  • Combine all dry ingredients
  • Add the oil and give it a good stir
  • Add the water by slow stages and mix it with your hand
  • Make a ball and let it sit for 10 minutes

After ten minutes …

  • Sprinkle some semolina on the counter
  • Roll the ball out to the thickness of 2 cm / 1 inch
  • Cut out circles
  • Heat up a pan preferably with a non-sticking coat
  • Now bake them on each side

And voila! Top it off with some butter or honey and enjoy :)
